EXCLUSIVE ANGLING HOLIDAYS – (2024) VENUE RULES
Dear Guests,
Our rules are in place to ensure we can provide a peaceful, natural environment that offers quality fishing for many years to come.
Rules
Arrival: Please do not arrive any earlier than 2.30 pm on the starting date of your booking.
Departure: Please do not depart any later than 9.30 am on the day of departure.
Fish Safety Rules – Our fish stock provides the sport and enjoyment our guests require, and it is our joint responsibility that they are looked after and kept in top condition. Therefore, the following rules apply:
- Only nets, weigh slings and retainers provided by Exclusive Angling Holidays can be used on our lakes.
- Barbless hooks only for all species.
- No bent hook rigs.
- No lead core leaders - Rig tubing must be used on all rods (Carp & Cats)
- No Treble Hooks permitted.
- No wire traces permitted.
- No sacking of any fish.
- No keepnets of any kind.
- Carp retainers provided by the fishery can be used for a maximum of 20 minutes allowing photographic equipment to be prepared but must be used in water of 3ft and deeper to ensure fish safety.
- No fixed leads of any sort. Safety rigs are permitted providing they do fail safe - please check prior to fishing.
- Minimum of 35LBS line for Lakes Rouge & Bleu, however we recommend that you use 50LBS line.
- Minimum 12 LBS line for carp fishing on lake Vert. No restriction on small course fishing.
- Braided mainline is permitted on Rouge and Bleu (while catfishing only) with a minimum of one meter of tubing.
- No braided mainline is permitted for Carp Fishing on Vert.
- Lakes Rouge & Blue have a 12-rod limit per lake, and with a maximum of 3 rods per angler.
- Lake vert has a 9-rod limit, and with a maximum of 3 rods per angler.
- No angler is allowed to be more than 10 meters from their rods if rigs are in the water.
- All anglers must have in their possession and always use fish care kits as required to treat hook holds, scale lifts and any cuts/abrasions etc.
Bait Rules
- No live baits, worms or maggots are permitted on any lake.
- No particle baits are allowed to be brought to the fishery – These can be purchased on site.
- No boilies are allowed to be brought to the fishery (unless agreed with EAH during booking)– These can be purchased on site.
- Tinned and frozen sweetcorn is permitted.
- Floating baits (mixers etc.) are permitted in moderation.
- No Goo’s, Smart liquids or similar products are permitted on any lake. However, pre-prepared hook baits are acceptable.
- Please do not put any unwanted bait in the lake at the end of your week, let us know and we can dispose of it for you.
General Rules
- We have a zero-tolerance policy in relation to willful damage to fish and all other animals that frequent our lakes.
- Never leave litter, including line, hooks, bottles, or cigarette butts around the lakes. Please use dustbins provided.
- Never remove any overhanging branches from trees.
- No boats allowed on any lake except for our own rowing boats. (By submitting our booking form, you agree no liability can or will be placed on Exclusive Angling Holidays for any boating accident, and clients are required to bring their own lifejackets).
- Bait boats are allowed without restriction.
- No swimming in any lake without exception.
- All naked flames are banned at all locations. This does not include cooking stoves used carefully. Never bring candles, barbecues or create campfires: these constitute a serious fire hazard.
- Radios are allowed on the lake as long as they are kept quiet.
- All minors should have full parental supervision whilst at the venue. This is because of the hazards the surrounding area (woods, stream, etc) can have.
- Excessive alcohol consumption and drug abuse is strictly prohibited.
- No pets allowed.
- Please take a moment to clean the facilities after use (Toilet, showers, and cooking cabins) so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of these shared facilities.
- Please do not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet.
- No defecating anywhere on site expect the toilet facility.
- Never erect bivvies on paths and driveways. Access to all lakes must be always clear.
- Always Park in the designated parking space according to your lake booking.
- No visitors or guests other than those named on the booking form.
Our bailiffs will visit the lakes during your stay to ensure rules are adhered to, and anglers may be asked by the bailiffs to remove one rig from the water to enable rig checks.
Please note these rules may be subject to change. If significant a minimum of 28 days’ notice prior to departure will apply. Notification of minor points will be at time of your arrival.
