Lake Bleu draws its name from the woodland backdrop that fills with wonderful bluebells in April every year! Feature laden, accommodating five anglers, you can choose from gravel bars, an island, overhanging trees and beautiful lily patches to fish out to.
It's fish stocks are larger than those you would normally find in the UK or most of France for that matter. This lake is renowned for the quality and quantity of fish that can be landed. The average weight is over 78lbs, the lake record which was set in 2014 is a huge 121.5lbs and weekly catches of over 2300lbs are not uncommon.
During a lake drain and stock take in November 2010 a catfish of an estimated weight of between 140 and 160lbs was lifted out of the net by three people. He or she was deliberately not weighed, and is now known between anglers as 'The Red October'.
Bleu is a favourite with loads of our customers who come back year after year, for the personal best beating fish, not to mention the sheer beauty of the surroundings! In 2017 alone, we had at least seven different specimen over 100lbs caught and landed from Bleu. This doesn't include the ever illusive 'Red October', which at least three of our Catfish fishermen, claim to have been snapped up by, in the last four months of the season.
